The town has carried out maintenance work at cemeteries in Orihuela and nearby districts ahead of the expected increase in visitors. The preventive plan will operate on 30 and 31 October and on 1 November.
On Sunday, emergency teams will cover the main cemetery and surrounding districts. The Red Cross will run an assistance point with an ambulance, while special access arrangements will help people with reduced mobility reach the entrance.
Local Police will increase traffic and parking controls. A parking area will be opened on Avenida de la Policía Nacional, and the upper access to the cemetery will remain closed.
