The funding comes from the Valencian Government’s Health Department and will support a municipal initiative aimed at encouraging healthier eating from childhood. The programme is for children aged 3 to 14 with difficulties such as overweight, obesity, unsuitable eating habits or high consumption of ultra-processed food, with particular attention to vulnerable families.

Nutripeke provides up to 100 nutrition-support sessions, with a maximum of five sessions per child. The work includes an initial assessment, personalised guidance and follow-up, alongside family involvement.

Access is arranged through a referral from the Primary Care Paediatrics service, linking health professionals with municipal resources. The council says the project forms part of its work on early prevention and reducing health inequalities.
