Organised by the Culture Department of Orihuela Town Hall, the event will turn the old town into a route of lights, sound and theatrical scenes. It was moved from 31 October after official mourning was declared following the railway accident.
Three actors dressed as the Ánimas will move through Calle Mayor, joined by two witches and five large puppets. Other performances are planned in Calle Santa Justa and at historic locations including the Town Hall, Plaza del Salvador, the cathedral cloister and Plaza Ramón Sijé.
The programme features works by Espronceda, Bécquer and Zorrilla, combining literature, local tradition and theatre for an atmospheric evening in central Orihuela.
