Prosecutors seek 18-year prison terms in Torrevieja sexual abuse case
A woman and her partner’s 23-year-old son are due to stand trial in Alicante Provincial Court on 9 November over alleged sexual abuse and repeated mistreatment of a 14-year-old girl in Torrevieja.
Prosecutors are seeking 18 years in prison for each defendant. The allegations concern events between June and November 2019, when the girl was living at the man’s home in Torrevieja. The prosecution says the woman allegedly forced her daughter to have sexual relations with the other defendant.
The indictment also alleges that both defendants repeatedly hit the girl when she tried to refuse. The hearing is scheduled for 9:30 at the Seventh Section of Alicante Provincial Court, which is based in Elche. The allegations have yet to be determined by the court.
